Choosing Giant Schnauzer Puppies As Your Pet
ARE GIANT SCHNAUZER PUPPIES THE RIGHT BREED FOR ME?
As any giant schnauzer Breeder will tell you, giant schnauzer puppies can make great companions and loving family members. However, before adding giant schnauzer puppies to any family, there are several issues that should be considered to ensure that both the giant's owner and the giant schnauzer puppy will be happy with the new living arrangement. Ideally, giant schnauzer puppies should be added to a family with time, attention and room for the puppy.
SPACE FOR GIANT SCHNAUZER PUPPIES
Giant schnauzers are an active breed of dog. Giant Schnauzer puppies will require space to run, play and generally be Giant Schnauzer puppies! Therefore, you should consider your living arrangement when considering whether to add a giant to your family. Homes with large, fenced yards are ideal for giant schnauzer puppies, though other living arrangements can work. While condominiums, apartments and small houses in urban areas may lack the ideal, open space for the giant, compensation can be made by making the time to take the giant schnauzer puppies to parks, trails and other areas where they have space to run, play and train. Homes with little space combined with owners with little time to share with the giant schnauzer puppies should probably consider adding other breeds to their family.
TIME FOR GIANT SCHNAUZER PUPPIES
Giant schnauzer puppies are as intelligent as they are active and will be happiest when given a job to do or when learning new activities. While the giant schnauzer puppies can learn new activities on their own, these activities will probably not be the most fulfilling for either the giant or the owner. Think messy living rooms! In other words, anyone considering adding giant schnauzer puppies to their family must also ask themselves if they are willing to make a commitment to the puppy. While training the giant schnauzer puppies can be fun given the high intelligence of the breed, it still requires time and energy. Those willing to spend the time with the giant schnauzer puppies will be rewarded with a willing and eager, loving and loyal companion. Ideally, giant schnauzer puppies should be run, jogged, walked or trained on a daily basis. Again, the ideal situation is not always available, but those with little to no time or attention for giant schnauzer puppies should also consider adding a different breed to their family.
GROOMING GIANT SCHNAUZER PUPPIES
Giant Schnauzer puppies are far from the most demanding breed when it comes to grooming. However, Giant owners must be willing to spend some time clipping and brushing the Giant. Giant schnauzer puppies will shed, though not excessively. A weekly brushing should be the minimum for keeping giant schnauzer puppies' shedding to a minimum while also maintaining their coats. Clipping should be done occasionally to keep the giant schnauzer puppies coats and mustaches free from tangles and gnarls. Again, though the puppies may require less grooming than other breeds, the time spent on grooming must be considered in combination with the space and time requirements noted above.
In the biased opinion of this giant schnauzer breeder, puppies make great additions to almost any family. However, the issues noted above should be considered before adding a new family member. Ensuring that the giant schnauzer puppies have the space and attention they need to grow and thrive only ensures that the giant schnauzer puppies will help their family and their owners grow and thrive.
